Partnership with Chamber is a ‘win-win-win’ for South Dundas residents

MORRISBURG - Local Member of Parliament Guy Lauzon and Member of Provincial Parliament Jim Brownell announced today the move of the South Dundas satellite office to the McIntosh Inn, in a unique partnership with the South Dundas Chamber of Commerce.

Under the new arrangement, MP Lauzon, MPP Brownell, and the Chamber will share an office in a renovated room at the McIntosh Inn. Constituents are asked to enter through the east end of the building, and follow the appropriate signage.

The previous office location in the South Dundas Economic Development Office, in the Morrisburg Plaza, was closed on March 31st, and the new move takes effect immediately.

The office hours for both federal and provincial services will remain the same. Staff from Guy Lauzon’s office will be available Monday mornings from 8:30am to 10:00am, while staff from Jim Brownell’s office will be available on most Thursday afternoons between 1:30pm and 3:00pm, an appointment is advisable. To book an appointment with MPP Brownell’s office, call (613) 933-6513.

“This arrangement is a benefit for all of those involved,” said MP Lauzon. “Constituents can still expect the same great service at the McIntosh Inn, and I’m glad we can partner with the Chamber of Commerce to make it happen.”

“I’m quite pleased with the new office location,” said MPP Brownell. “This is an excellent partnership that will ensure constituents in Morrisburg and area have access to the services offered by their MPP.”

“The Chamber is delighted to offer the businesses in South Dundas, whose membership constitutes our strong organization, the benefits of sharing a headquarters with our Provincial and Federal representatives.  It is always our intention to make our MP and MPP aware of the needs of our local businesses,” said Chamber President Barb Scott. “Sharing a central office at the McIntosh Country Inn will enable us to keep up to date on important matters affecting our membership and also will afford us a greater opportunity to convey our concerns to our elected officials.”
