CORNWALL – On March 11th, the Honourable Jim Flaherty, Minister of Finance launched www.ActionPlan.gc.ca, a comprehensive new website that will allow Canadians to monitor the implementation of Canada’s Economic Action Plan and hold public officials accountable.

Specifically, the website contains:

• details on Canada’s Economic Action Plan
• links to specifics on initiatives and projects as they are announced
• an explanation of the roots of the global financial crisis and Canada’s relative performance

“Our Government is taking unprecedented action to stimulate the Canadian economy and combat the global recession,” said local MP Guy Lauzon. “At the same time, Canadians still expect this action to be undertaken in an accountable and transparent manner. With this website, Canadians will now be able to measure progress and hold both elected representatives and unelected officials to account.”
