Lauzon Conducts 30th Passport Clinic
May 04, 2009

Cornwall- Stormont, Dundas and South Glengarry Member of Parliament Guy Lauzon and his staff conducted their 30th passport clinic at General Vanier Secondary School on Saturday May 3.

Lauzon, his staff and other volunteers received over 400 constituents at the clinic. “This is about average for our clinics” stated Lauzon.

Lauzon points out that neither his staff nor the volunteers receive any compensation for the six hour day. “Pizza and Chinese food are the only tangible rewards the staff and volunteers receive,” stated Lauzon. “I am blessed with great staff and wonderful friends.”

In less than five years, Lauzon and his staff have processed over 18,000 passport applications at his constituency office. Passports will be mandatory to enter the USA as of June 1, 2009. Constituents may still drop off their completed application at Lauzon’s office at 621 Pitt Street anytime.
