CORNWALL - Stormont, Dundas & South Glengarry MP Guy Lauzon is encouraged after receiving a report of the initial meeting between Grand Chief Elect, Mike Mitchell and Stephen Rigby, President of the Canada Border Services Agency.

“I am encouraged that dialogue continues between the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne and the Canada Border Services Agency.” stated Lauzon.  “These discussions clearly demonstrate a commitment to achieving a peaceful solution that benefits the residents of our community.”

Lauzon is encouraging representatives from the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne and the Canada Border Services Agency to continue meeting until a peaceful solution.
